VILLAGE SHOPPING
Some retailers take advantage of Mississauga's natural advantages, locating themselves in picturesque surroundings. Streetsville’s quaint Queen Street is flanked by small shops, all within walking distance of one another, and offering a varied selection of goods, including accessories for home and garden and vintage clothing.
The shimmering blue waters of Lake Ontario provide the perfect backdrop to a day of shopping in Port Credit. The area provides a serene retail experience with more than 200 stores and services. Clarkson Village, along scenic Lakeshore Road, is another pretty shopping preserve.
The Mississauga Chinese Centre features an authentic selection of Chinese apparel, accessories and giftware to choose from. A glimpse at the dramatic entrance is worth the drive alone: the 43-foot-tall gateway and surrounding structures are modern replicas of ancient Chinese architecture, while the Nine Dragon Wall (the only one of its kind outside of Asia) provides a unique setting for exploring Chinese-Canadian culture.
